Singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson quickly got a glimpse of what it’s like to have fame at the level of Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid.
The 41-year-old “Girls Chase Boys” performer briefly frenzied social media on Monday March 29th when she mistakenly described the longtime couple as “married” during a live stream on Patreon. By the time, she had expressed appreciation that the 28-year-old One Direction star had recorded her most recent duet, “To Begin Again,” with her, but fans were quick to assume Ingrid might know something the rest of the time the world doesn’t know.
Later that night, after “Zayn is married” was announced on Twitter, Ingrid apologized to Zayn and Gigi for her accidental gaffe on her Instagram story and thanked the fans who supported her during the stressful events.
“So, I was supposed to sleep, but it’s been a crazy hour, an hour and a half,” she said in the footage. “On my Patreon live stream I said I was working with Zayn. I mentioned that he is married and not married. As far as I know, he is not married. It was a mistake. I’m so sorry. I said, I’m sorry. I don’t live in this world. Because of the fame, I can really, really admire Zayn and anyone with that fame. Every little thing you say is just, Wow! I’m not built for it. “
