In March, CBS announced that the CSI team was teaming up with a few new additions on a new sequel to the original series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (which premiered in 2000).

Wilhelm, Jorja Fox and Wallace Langham would revive their characters in CSI: Vegas. New cast included Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez and Mandeep Dhillon.

CBS President Kelly Kahl Expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying at the time: “Twenty-one years ago we launched CSI and watched with awe as this new movie series brought an entire genre to market and became a groundbreaking juggernaut that continues to resonate around the world to this day Has.”
