Connie Britton doesn’t believe the Disney Channel is as benevolent as people might assume.
During their visit to host Late Night on Wednesday August 18th Seth Meyers the 54-year-old actress asked if her real 10-year-old son Yes sir is ashamed of her as her teenage children aren’t her biggest fans on HBO hit The White Lotus.
“He’s not there yet, thank God – 10 is a really cute, good age,” the Friday Night Lights alum shared of her child walking past Yoby. “But here’s what they don’t tell you about where this humiliation is coming from, and the answer, especially during a pandemic, is television. In particular the Disney Channel. “
Seth seemed quite surprised at what led Connie to explain over the network, “They’re always called by people’s names, like Jessie or Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.” The actress admitted that she may have botched the title of the latter TV show, which is actually Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.
She went on to say she doesn’t know why kids like these types of shows, and yet her own son, whom she adopted from Ethiopia in 2011, is no exception.
