It is not lost on Candace Cameron Bure that people around the world may have bigger worries than an upcoming Hallmark Channel movie.

On Tuesday, August 17, the 45-year-old Fuller House alum visited Instagram to promote her latest film, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Honeymoon, Honeymurder, which will debut on the network on Sunday, August 22.

At around the same time, the star also posted footage of her Instagram story, explaining why she feels conflicted with tripping for a movie when there is so much suffering going on in the world right now. In the video, she referred to the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan, the devastating earthquake in Haiti and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“I come by in person because my heart is so heavy with what is going on in Afghanistan and Haiti, the vaccine – just all the division and the hatred – and I just pray and my heart is heavy,” Candace said shared. “And at the same time, I have a job and a movie is coming out on Sunday and I know that sounds like an uncomfortable transition, but you’ll see my feed full of promotional material.”
