Bobby Brown’s son, Bobby Jr., died at the age of 28

Bobby Brown shares his open thoughts about son Bobby Brown Jr.is tragically over.

The 52-year-old R&B singer was a guest at Red Table Talk on Wednesday April 14, where he spoke to co-hosts Willow Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris about painful moments in his life over the years. This included the death of his 28-year-old son, who died of an overdose of alcohol, cocaine, and the opioid fentanyl on November 13, according to the autopsy report.

Bobby has also dealt with the loss of the daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, who died in a coma in July 2015 at the age of 22 after seven months after being found unconscious in a bathtub.

“Losing him was very, very unexpected,” said the New Edition alum. “Just like losing my daughter. We were only in the studio two nights before. It was something that hit me really, really hard.”

Bobby has fathered seven children, including Bobby Jr., one of two children he took in with his former partner Kim Ward. Bobbi was Bobby’s only child with an ex-wife Whitney HoustonWhitney died in 2012 at the age of 48. Like her daughter, she was found in a bathtub, and death was later attributed to accidental drowning, in addition to her heart disease and cocaine use.
