Clare Crawley has something she wants to get rid of.
The Bachelorette star says she plans to have her breast implants removed for health reasons.
In a video posted on Saturday July 3rd, Clare, 40, said she’s had unexplained symptoms over the past few years, an itchy rash all over her upper body, and had undergone many tests. She also said that her white blood count had been elevated for the past five years and that recent mammograms and an ultrasound showed fluid sacs behind her implants.
“As much as I love my implants, my body fights them and recognizes it as something obviously alien to my body,” said Claire. “As much as I loved having these, it’s so important to me that I love my health more. I love my well-being more. That is what matters.”
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, breast implants carry multiple risks, including possible rupture and an increased risk of developing anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL), a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, or blood cancer.
