Children – Vice President Kamala Harris applaud you.
In honor of the Generation Change Award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2021 on March 13th, which was given to children everywhere this year, the vice president of history virtually took part in the show to share a message for all the teenagers who watch .
“Thank you to the young leaders for being so amazing and for all that you do and will do,” she said. “From social distancing to distance learning – you’ve been through a lot this year, but through everything, you, your boy Executives have really grown. “
Applauding the children for their efforts amid the coronavirus pandemic, Harris continued, “You wore your masks, you helped your neighbors, you were role models in your community.”
She also pondered a lesson her late mother had taught her – something that was equally true last year. “When I was young, my mom always said, ‘Kamala, don’t just sit around and complain about things. Do something about it,'” she recalled. “Well, you do something. You create a better future and you inspire me and President Biden Every day.”
