On June 15, the 52-year-old Food Network star described how she lost 43 pounds in five months and talked about her fitness and weight loss journey.

“I’m not writing this as a self-celebration (as it’s very new and I’m still working on it), but (hopefully) as an inspiration,” Drummond began her blog post. “Because, as a 52-year-old lover of food and sports avoidance, I just want to share what has worked for me.”

The Pioneer Woman star then broke off her routine, explaining that she started counting calories “and jotting down each item for a daily total” and also weighing her food. Drummond also added more protein to her diet while reducing her sugar and alcohol consumption.

Above all, she has integrated movement into her everyday life and switched to a standing desk, which motivates her to move more.
