Ariel Robinson, the youngest winner of the Food Network series Worst Cooks in America, and her husband were arrested for alleged child abuse murder that killed their 3-year-old foster daughter. Victoria Rose Smith.
Ariel, a 29 year old former middle school teacher and amateur comedian and husband Jerry Robinson, 34, have not publicly commented on the charges. Following her arrest, the entire 20th season of the reality show was removed from the cable channel’s VOD, while previous seasons and season 21, which premiered earlier this month, are available for streaming.
Worst Cooks in America season 20 is also unavailable on Discovery +, Hulu, and YouTube. The deadline was announced on Saturday, January 23rd. The Food Network and parent company Discovery Networks also left no comments.
According to local television station FOX Carolina, Simpsonville, SC police received a phone call on the afternoon of Jan. 14 about an unresponsive juvenile victim. She was pronounced dead after she was taken to a hospital. The local coroner identified her as Victoria and found that the cause of death was multiple blunt violent injuries.
On Tuesday, January 19th, Ariel and Jerry were charged with child molestation. A judge denied both bail.
