The 2021 Miss Universe is back and better than ever.
Last year’s pageant was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic, but now it’s time for the 74 attendees to show the judges what they got.
On Friday, May 14th, all women gathered at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida to model their costumes as part of the preliminary round. While some ladies opted for patriotic looks celebrating their country’s biggest exports, others opted for traditional ensembles from the region.
It’s just one of the many competition categories that women are judged by before Sunday evening. At this point there are only 21 left in the race.
Olivia culpowho won Miss Universe in 2012 will join Mario Lopez as co-host of the ceremony, which will air live on FYI at 8 p.m. ET. It is also broadcast in Spanish on Telemundo.
