The international interest group Global Citizen presents VAX LIVE: A concert for the reunification of the world under the joint chairmanship of Prince Harry and Meghan Marklelaunched Hollywood’s biggest names to highlight the need for COVID-19 vaccine distribution. The special concert was recorded on Sunday May 2nd at the new SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and will be televised on Saturday May 8th.
The star-studded VAX LIVE was hosted by Selena Gomez and highlighted achievements of Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, j Balvin and YOU The concert was recorded in front of a live audience made up of frontline vaccinated health services and key staff. president Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden As part of Global Citizen’s partnership with the White House’s “We Can Do This” vaccine initiative, there was also a special virtual appearance.
The VAX LIVE campaign is raising funds for cans, urges pharmaceutical companies to offer drugs at non-profit prices, and urges governments to share excess COVID-19 vaccines with countries in need. The internationally oriented organization works with the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Commission and executives around the world.
