Riverdales Charles Melton may know a thing or two about love, but it seems like a different story to spell it.

The 30-year-old actor is attending the Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday June 15, as seen in preview images. During the performance, the actor, known for playing Reggie Mantle, admitted to hosting Kelly Clarkson that a fan approached him once to write a seemingly simple sentence so she could get it tattooed on her wrist, but he kind of botched it.

When asked to name his craziest fan experience, Charles said, “I would probably say when a fan came up to me and she asked me to write, ‘Love is love,’ and for some reason I misspelled love but she wanted to get it tattooed on her wrist. And I said, ‘I’m so sorry’ and she said, ‘No, no, no, I’ll keep it.’ “

That response sparked laughter from Kelly, but Charles went on boldly, stating, “Well, I didn’t see it today, but I’m sure if you see someone who has ‘love is love’ with the one crossed out Love, this is my art. “Then he added his own laughter.
