The White House is pet friendly again!

On Monday, January 25th, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden went to her social media accounts to share some exciting news.

“Champ and Major joined us at the White House,” she wrote along with heart and paw-print emojis.

Within an hour of sharing, the pictures of the happy German Shepherds running across the White House lawn gained over 600,000 likes, and followers were delighted with the update.

One Instagram user wrote: “I agree that you have your own Instagram account.” Another added, “Welcome back, pooch to the White House !!! That’s what we love to see. You look delighted !!”

The Biden sponsored Major in 2018 from the Delaware Humane Association, who wrote on their Facebook account at the time: “Today is Major’s lucky day! Major not only found his home forever, but he was also adopted by the Vice President Joe Biden & Dr. Jill Biden! The Bidens met Major while they were nursing him and are now ready to make the adoption official. Good luck and thank you for being one of our friends for life! “
