Meet US Olympic surfers competing in the Tokyo 2020 Games

The Tokyo 2020 Games are just around the corner!

As thousands of athletes continue to train for their respective sporting events, fans prepare for the July 23rd opening ceremony which First Lady will attend Jill Bidenby learning about the sights and sounds of Tokyo.

From July 23 to August 8, sporting events will take place across the city, including Tokyo Bay and Odori Park, where stadiums will be built and starting lines drawn.

While Tokyo previously welcomed millions of overseas visitors, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has made the sightseeing process difficult. In early July, the International Olympic Committee stated that spectators would not be allowed to attend most events, citing a possible spike in COVID-19 cases.

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, it is relatively easy to be transported abroad even from the couch.
