In a section from the Thursday April 15 episode of Wheel of Fortune that was released to the media just recently, the host of the long-running game show accidentally revealed the solution while joking with the participant, who was still actively trying to get it guess. Unfortunately, the candidate didn’t even notice that Pat had accidentally done his job for him.
During the segment the category was “Phrase” and the panel read “— TE -RNL-“. While the player was sorry while the clock was still on, Pat said, “Oops. Well, I’d rather be here than there, frankly.”
The riddle eventually remained unsolved, and it turned out that the answer was actually “Quite honestly,” which Pat had used during the conversation. It wasn’t until the end of the episode that Pat and co-starred Vanna White Let the audience in on their gaffe.
