As we eagerly await the next episode of Hulus Nine Perfect Strangers, which premiered on August 18, rumors have been circulating about the real intentions – and perhaps the identity – of Tranquillum House leader Masha Dmitrichenko played by Nicole Kidman in one of her most haunting roles to date.
The series follows a “particularly volatile” group of strangers created by Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Michael Shannon, Samara weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie and Grace Van Pattenwho are all looking for a sense of relief.
Mascha’s idea of a wellness retreat? She encourages her guests to lie in open graves to drive out their own personal demons while assuring them that there is “nothing to fear” … but we are not entirely convinced.
Whether Masha turns out to be a nefarious, self-serving narcissist or a genuinely helpful entity – and whether you want to run towards Tranquillum House or yell away – there are plenty of other creepy self-help shows to satisfy your cult craze.
