Nick Jonas returned to Saturday Night Live and this time was not only as a musical guest, but also as a host for the first time in a double pack.
During his monologue his brother Kevin Jonas made a cameo to ask a question that many have wondered about: Is your band the Jonas Brothers still together Nick is releasing a new album, Spaceman, next month. Although he previously stopped performing solo, this is his first independent project since the group that consists of himself, Kevin and his brother Joe Jonas, Reunited as a group in 2019 after five years.
“To be honest, I’m so excited to be here, and I also have to ask, are we good?” Said Kevin. “Because I see that you do a lot of solo stuff. Are we still a band?”
Nick replied, “Of course.”
“Are you sure? Because I just bought a house,” Kevin said, to which Nick replied. “The band is still together, I promise.”
After Nick had set the record for the Jonas Brothers, who actually appeared on SNL shortly after their reunion in 2019, he sang “Drink With Me” from Les Misérables with other actors. As a kid growing up in New Jersey, the star made his Broadway debut on the show in 2003, playing child kid Gavroche. He also played Marius in a televised special for Les Mis 25th Anniversary that was filmed in London.
During the SNL he played in some sketches and played two new tracks – “This Is Heaven” and “Spaceman” from his upcoming album of the same name.
