In her statement on Tuesday, Hochul still did not openly demand that Cuomo resign. However, she stated, “After the New York Constitution, the Assembly will now determine the next steps.”

“Since the lieutenant governors are the next in line, it would not be appropriate to comment on the process any further at the moment,” said Hochul’s statement.

Cuomo on Tuesday strongly denied some of the allegations against him, saying that other examples of his alleged wrongdoing had been misrepresented or misinterpreted.

New York Congregation spokesman Carl Heastie, who approved an impeachment investigation against Cuomo in March, said Tuesday afternoon: “I understand very clearly that the governor has lost the confidence of the Democratic majority in the congregation and that he will no longer be in office can office. “

“Once we have received all relevant documents and evidence from the Attorney General, we will act swiftly and try to complete our impeachment proceedings as soon as possible,” Heastie said in a statement.
