It’s going to be a summer of fear for Netflix subscribers.
On Wednesday, May 19, the streaming service released a new teaser for the upcoming horror trilogy Fear Street. The new films based on RL StineThe popular teenage horror novels will be released on Netflix in July.
As the first look below shows, the Fear Street trilogy will contain “three films, three weeks, a killer story”. In particular, the films will unpack the horrific activity that plagued a small town in 1994, 1978, and 1666.
In a caption, Netflix revealed, “In 1994, a group of teenagers discovered that the horrific events that have plagued their city for generations can all be connected – and that they can be the next few targets. Based on RL Stine’s best-selling horror series The Trilogy follows the nightmare through Shadyside’s dark story. “
The first film in the trilogy, called Fear Street: Part One – 1994, features the star of Stranger Things Maya Hawke.
