Morgan Wallen appeals to fans more than a week after a video showing the N word of him surfaced.
On Wednesday, February 10, the 27-year-old country singer shared a video with Instagram entitled “Update from me”. This follows the release of TMZ footage on Feb.2, in which the performer used the racist bow and other explosive devices during an evening with friends.
During his Instagram message, which lasted just over five minutes, Morgan stated that he wanted to take some time before speaking publicly about the controversy.
“I am long overdue to make a statement on my last incident,” he admitted. “I wanted to gather my thoughts, find real guidance, and come to you with a complete thought before I did.”
According to the musician, the video was shot at the end of a 72 hour bend and he was made aware of the footage just before it was released by TMZ. He said he had given the outlet a longer, more detailed apology at the time, but that only part of it had been printed, which he himself had painted “in an even more sloppy light.”
