“For the second time he sat me down and said, ‘Hey babe, I have to explain this to you, tell me if I’m crazy,'” Mila continued. “He says, ‘There’s this thing, it’s like mining money. It’s called cryptocurrency, and there is this company’ – that was more than eight years ago – ‘It’s called Bitcoin.'”

The Black Swan performer said she was concerned at the time that the cryptocurrency was not FDIC insured, despite her husband trying to convince her that this was the point.

“And I was like, ‘Well, I think that’s a terrible idea,'” Mila continued with Stephen. “And he said, ‘Cool, we’re investing in it.’ So he didn’t listen to me. I mean, it happens all the time. ”

Sure enough, Ashton was an early investor in Uber and a downstairs proponent of cryptocurrency. So clearly that he is listening to the right people, even if that doesn’t always mean his wife.
