Change can be good.
That was a former Bachelorette candidate Mike Johnson‘s attitude during the discussion Chris Harrison‘s exit from the undergraduate franchise. Even so, the TV personality wasn’t quick to write off the Bachelor Nation’s longtime presenter.
“Chris Harrison, I said it once, I’ll say it again, he lives in Austin, I live in Austin. Let’s go grill, ”he shared on the June 8 episode of E! News’ Daily Pop. “I think that for people who say, ‘I’m not going to see the show for this or that reason’, change can be a good thing. The young man was there for 19 years and did a great job.”
However, Mike made it clear that it was time to look to the future when he added, “Let’s move on.”
For those who may have missed it, Chris announced on June 8th that he was stepping down for good after 19 years hosting The Bachelor and its spin-off shows. That announcement came after Chris stepped aside after defending Bachelor Nation Matt James‘last recipient of roses, Rachael Kirkconnell. Rachael encountered controversy during season 25 when photos from 2018 surfaced of her attending a plantation-themed party.
