Kardashians vs. Jenners at their own Olympics ?!
An upcoming rider for the Tokyo Olympics was definitely born to ride.
Jessica Springsteen, the 29-year-old daughter of the legendary rock star Bruce SpringsteenShe will compete with her stallion in the US jumping team Don Juan van de Donkhoeve.
“I’ve dreamed about it for as long as I can remember!” she wrote on Instagram on July 6th, the day after the new announcement was made. “Infinite gratitude for my team, my friends and my family for helping me make this a reality. We are Tokyo bound !! I am honored to be part of this team with @laurakraut @teamkpf and @ mclainward.official. There is no horse in the world that I would rather go on this trip, thank you Don! You are my horse of my life … Let’s go to the USA! “
Jessica worked hard to get to the Olympics. She was a substitute for the London 2012 Games but didn’t make it at all for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
There have been several Olympians with Hollywood ties over the years. Some celebrities have a parent who attended the Olympics, such as Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner, whose father Caitlyn Jenner won the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Canada. She would attract a new generation of fans by starring with her family in Keeping Up With the Kardashians and later in her own spin-off, I Am Cait.
Other people who came from famous families or were known primarily for entertainment careers became Olympians themselves.
