Kaitlyn Bristowe is grateful that the bachelorette viewers gave themselves and Tayshia Adams a chance to thrive as a co-host, even if the process had some thorns.

On Monday, August 9th, as Katie ThurstonWhen the season finale aired, Kaitlyn took to Instagram to share a long message about her experience. In the post, she said she knew it wouldn’t necessarily be easy for Bachelor Nation to adjust to new hosts afterward Chris Harrison left the franchise for good in June.

“I just want to thank you for opening your hearts and your home to me and Tayshia every Monday night,” Kaitlyn wrote. “I know that change is not easy for people, and I know that we cannot and will not replace anyone. We were there to be ourselves, to be mentors and to give a new perspective. We wanted to make everyone smile and give Katie the reassurance she deserves with her feelings. “
