Don’t expect to see it Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani sharing more songwriting credits soon.

The 51-year-old “Hollaback Girl” actor was a guest at DJ KhaledThe First One’s first podcast on Wednesday March 17th. During the episode, she announced that her 44-year-old fiancĂ© had helped her improve the standout features of her latest unreleased songs.

“Yesterday Blake and I sat down and listened to any song that had a lot of songs in it and just put our favorite stars by which,” said Gwen. “We’re definitely bouncing off each other.”

Gwen, who recently released her single “Slow Clap,” stated that she valued her longtime significant other’s opinion not only because of his own hit chart track record, but also because, as a coach, he’s constantly evaluating music of all genres on The Voice.

“When you’re on this show, you’re around music and you really know how to choose music. That’s why I rely on him a lot for his tastes,” continued the No Doubt singer. “He knows all the genres from this show. He has a really good ear for hits or just songs we all like.”
