Could there be problems in Callie and Gael’s future?
In this sneak peek from Good Trouble, which returns with new episodes on July 14, viewers get a taste of what’s next for the star-crossed coterie couple. For those in need of a refresher, a breathtaking reveal in the midseason finale apparently threw Callie a wrench (Maia Mitchell) and Gäl (Tommy Martinez) budding reconciliation.
We’re talking, of course, about the news that Gael’s brief affair with Isabella (Priscilla quintana) led to pregnancy. Thankfully, as the new clip teases below, all hope is not lost for the two of them.
Gael begins after the big reveal: “I just can’t let her do this alone.”
Callie is understandably confused as she didn’t know Gael and Isabella were ever a thing. However, as Gael clarifies, they only “hooked up” once and adds, “It wasn’t serious.”
Callie realizes the difficult situation Gael is in and assures her friend that she understands that he is trying to do the right thing. “That’s what I love about you,” she admits. “And I’m here when you need a friend – or a babysitter.”
