Numerous couples have been forced to postpone their wedding plans amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and Gayle KingThe family was no different. The co-host of CBS This Morning had organized a wedding for her daughter Kirby Bumpus and her partner Virgil Miller when the lockdown began.
Almost a year later, thanks to the help of her best friend Oprah Winfrey, Gayle Kirby was able to present the wedding of her dreams.
The proud mom announced on February 1 that Kirby and Virgil tied the knot at their godmother Oprah’s $ 6.85 million home in Santa Barbara in December 2020. Hey what are good fairies for?
Her six guests included Oprah’s longtime partner, Stedman Grahamand Kirby’s brother, Will Bumpus Jr., Who directed the ceremony.
As Gayle wrote on Instagram: “I couldn’t even hug her on her wedding day, which was haaaaard! Not the wedding we planned for 2020 … [But] The day was beautiful and so was Kirby! I call that perfection. ”
