The Devil Wears Prada was a star movie for Emily Blunt, but the process involved more than a simple audition. In other words, that’s not all.
The 38-year-old A Quiet Place Part II star attended the Late Late Show on Thursday, May 27th James Corden asked what she remembered playing across from Emily Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep in the Oscar-nominated film as it celebrates its 15th anniversary this summer.
“I remember being in LA for pilot season – or something terrible – and I hooked up with Fox Studios and read for that other project,” said Emily. “And only they happened to say, ‘Oh, we have this Devil Wears Prada movie – would you like to read for this movie?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, sure.’ “
She continued, “But I was rushing to the airport and I remember being just a little nervous. So I read it, but I was wearing sweatpants and I wasn’t looking at it at all.”
