When the music industry – and frankly the world – came to a screeching halt last March, the pop star knew she was taking a huge risk by dropping the project just weeks after the country’s COVID-19 lockdown.
But Dua’s decision turned out to be a fluke after earning six Grammy nominations, three of them for Record, Album, and Song of the Year.
Before the ceremony on Sunday, E! Rocsi Diaz met the 25-year-old for an exclusive conversation in which she shared the aspirations for the next chapter of her takeover of pop music. Spoiler alert: Dua’s Grammy winning streak is far from over.
When asked which artist colleagues she would like to work with one day, Dua said, “My list is actually quite large. There are so many artists I love and admire and who inspire me.”
