DMX is life sustaining after a heart attack in a hospital, his lawyer has clarified.
The 50-year-old Grammy-nominated rapper whose real name is Earl Simmonswas rushed to a medical center in White Plains, New York on Friday, April 2nd. His lawyer, Murray Richmansaid E! On Saturday afternoon, April 3rd, it was revealed that DMX had suffered a heart attack. He added that he was “released on a life support and breathing alone”. Later that evening, the attorney told NBC News and other outlets that the “slippin” artist was still life support and not breathing alone, contradicting his earlier comments on the star’s condition.
TMZ brought the news of DMX’s hospitalization. The outlet reported Saturday that the rapper, who was previously substance addicted and previously in rehab, suffered a drug overdose that triggered the heart attack. His attorney has not confirmed this, telling NBC News that he has no knowledge of what caused the rapper’s heart attack.
