Delta Air Lines is buying 25 more Airbus A321neo aircraft, according to a company notice posted on Thursday. The new sale brings Delta’s A321neo firm orders to 125 aircraft.
The Atlanta-based airline also has options for 25 more narrowbody jetliners, according to the memo that CNBC saw.
“The addition of these new, efficient narrowbody jets to our fleet means more career opportunities for our pilots and more capacity to expand our network during recreation. This strengthens our leadership position as more customers fly with Delta,” said John Laughter, senior vice president and Delta from Delta The operations manager wrote in the memo to the pilots
