Chad Michael Murray learned that fans of the series will follow wherever its Gilmore Girls character leads.
The 39-year-old One Tree Hill alum spoke to Today on Wednesday, July 7th, where he recalled his days as a dreary, devilish classmate of Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) at Chilton Prep School about the series to remember fondly.
The actor repeated himself over the first two seasons of Gilmore Girls, and while his character is perhaps best remembered for the sleazy way he referred to Rory as “Mary,” Chad revealed that fans were just kind of positive about Tristin to have.
“One answer I always get about Tristin is how much they love him,” he shared. “They really do. I’ve never had anyone come up to me and say – which you’d think I would get all the time – no one ever came up to me and said, ‘Tristin was an idiot her Maria?’ It never happened. “
