The “Truth Hurts” singer broke down in tears on a recent Instagram live over the weekend, explaining to fans that hateful comments have weighed on her lately. “People who have something mean to say about you and it mostly doesn’t hurt my feelings, I don’t care,” said Lizzo tearfully in the clip, adding, “I just think when I work hard on it, my tolerance is getting less, my patience is less. I’m more sensitive and it gets on my nerves. “
Cardi, who recently worked with the Detroit native on her song “Rumors,” tweeted the emotional clip and commented on Lizzo’s defense. “If you stand up for yourself, they’ll claim yours [sic] problematic and sensitive, “she wrote on August 15.” If you don’t, they will tear you apart until you cry like that. “
