“He’s just the cutest baby ever,” she enthused during an interview in SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up. “I love him. He’s a good friend of mine.”
The 19-year-old Grammy winner’s great admiration for the pop star is well documented. She thought he was her first celebrity crush and described him as her first love when she was a 12-year-old fan.
Due to their own fame, the two have not only met since then, but also worked together on a “bad guy” remix and forged a friendship in the process. For the teenager, Bieber has become a valuable mentor in navigating their unique new life. “He’s been so helpful to me, especially when dealing with fame,” said Eilish, who was just releasing her second studio album, Happier Than Ever. “And he calls me sometimes and just says things that make me feel like I’m heard and like someone else is going through the same thing, so it’s really nice to have him.”
